The City of Oxford has signed an agreement with the Johnson County Building Inspectors.

The general list of projects that require permits and building inspections are:

1. New Buildings, additions (Bedrooms, bathrooms, family rooms, etc.)

2. Decks, garages, fireplaces, in ground pools, etc.

3. Renovations (garage conversions, kitchen expansions, bathroom remodeling, etc.)

4. Electrical systems.

5. Plumbing systems.

6. HVAC (heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning) systems.
